How we started
In 2013, during an experiment at the MIT Media Lab, we ‘hacked’ a printer cartridge to print using candle soot. That day, the idea of AIR-INK® was born.
Since then, Air-Ink® has kickstarted a public art movement spanning cities as diverse as Hong Kong, London, New York, Mumbai, Berlin, Singapore, Delhi and many more.
Pollutants which could have otherwise been in the lungs of millions of people are now beautifully resting as art, featuring in the work of more than a thousand artists like Doodle Man, Christian Furr, Karatoes, Imagine and others.
Our recycling technology has created a business model that has never before been implemented at an industrial scale.
We have designed our proprietary technology to sequester PM 2.5 and PM 10 emissions (PM Air Pollution). The technology is currently available for licensing and OEM integration.
With the help of third party global accredited labs we analyze and further segregate the pollution particulate for recycling. The analysis further ensure that the AIR-INK® formulations we resolve to are safe for consumer use.
The PM air pollution waste is sequestered as useable pigments and ink. We further test the inks for safety and steadfastness. We are constantly looking for ways to improve and advance this process.
Different grades of AIR-INK® are classified and are used by our partners to 'Print with pollution' to offset carbon footprint and gain significant advertising and marketing advantage.
